SynSignal Members at the 36th Blankenese Conference

SynSignal member Prof Wolfgang Meyerhof (Principal Investigator of DIfE), Co-Chairman of the Blankenese Conference welcomed his SynSignal colleague Prof Per-Olof Berggren (Principal Investigator of KI) to the 36th Blankenese Conference on “Metabolic Control: Gut Microbiome - Cellular Circuits - Synthetic Signaling Cascades“. Berggren presented his ground-breaking work on pancreatic islet cell physiology/pathophysiology.

The Blankenese Conference was established in 1979 and since then meetings have been held almost on a yearly basis. Previous conferences covered topics in cell biology, genetics, virology and neurobiology. Conference centre is the beautifully located Elsa-Brändström-Haus in Hamburg-Blankenese.
