EC publishes Opinion on the Adequacy of Risk Assessment Methods in Synthetic Biology

After a public consultation process regarding risk assessment methodologies and safety aspects of Synthetic Biology, the European Commission’s Scientific Committees issued their final opinion in May 2015. It concerns implications of Synthetic Biology on human and animal health and the environment and corresponding risk assessment practices.
